Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data E-Invite collects, why, who it is shared with, and your rights. The controller of your data is the provider of E-Invite named in the Legal information section of our Terms of Service. You can reach us at info.einvite@protonmail.com.

1. What we collect

  • Account: when you sign in with Google, your name, email address, profile photo and a unique account ID.
  • Invitation content: the names or title, dates, venues, texts and photos you add to your invitation, and its type (wedding, baptism, birthday, …).
  • Guest responses: the name a guest enters, whether they will attend, and when they responded.
  • Collaborators: the email addresses you invite to help manage an invitation.
  • Payments: the order number, amount, status and payment method type we receive from Bank of Georgia. We never receive or store card numbers.
  • Usage data: the pages of our website you visit and how you use them (clicks, taps, scrolling), your device and browser type and approximate location, collected with Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel (see section 3), which set cookies in your browser. Clarity can replay a visit to show us where our website is hard to use; the text you type and the contents of invitations, of your dashboard and of RSVP results are hidden from it. Neither tool runs on invitation pages that guests open.
  • Your language choice, stored in your own browser.

2. Why we use it

To provide the service (publish your invitation, collect and show RSVPs), to process payments and refunds, to keep the accounting records the law requires, to answer your support requests, to prevent abuse, and to understand how our website is used and measure our advertising so we can improve both. The legal bases are the performance of our contract with you, our legal obligations, and our legitimate interest in running a secure service.

3. Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Google Firebase — sign-in and database
  • Cloudinary — photo storage
  • Netlify — website hosting
  • Bank of Georgia — payment processing
  • Microsoft Clarity — website usage analytics
  • Meta (Facebook, Instagram) — the Meta Pixel, which measures the results of our ads

Some of them may process data outside Georgia (for example in the EU or the US) under their own data-protection safeguards. We do not sell your data. Meta receives which pages of our website you visit and steps such as signing up or paying — never the contents of an invitation — and may use this to measure and show our ads; you can limit ad personalisation in your Facebook or Instagram settings, or block these cookies in your browser.

4. What is public

Until it expires two months after the event date, an invitation page is visible to anyone who has its link, including the names or title, date, venues and photo on it — so only add people’s names and photos, children’s especially, that you are entitled to share (see section 7 of our Terms of Service). After that it is no longer public. Guest responses are visible only to the invitation’s owner and the collaborators they grant access to, and only until the invitation expires.

5. How long we keep it

Invitation and RSVP data is kept while the invitation exists. Once an invitation expires (two months after the event date), neither it nor its responses can be viewed by anyone, including its owner, and we may permanently delete them. You can delete an invitation at any time from your dashboard, which permanently deletes it together with all of its responses. Payment records are kept for the period required by Georgian tax and accounting law.

6. Your rights

Under the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection you can ask us for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of its processing, or object to it. Write to info.einvite@protonmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia.

7. If you are a guest

When you respond to an invitation, your name and answer are shared with whoever created it — for example the couple, the family or the company hosting the event — and anyone they have given access to its results. To have your response removed, contact them or write to us.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
